An Ahwazi delegation participated in the Arab Organization for Human Rights in Northern Europe conference, held in The Hague, Netherlands, on 27-09-2024. The delegation included Mr. Ali Al-Sari, President of Bilad Foundation, Mr. Saad Al-Kaabi, Director of Ahwaz News Agency, and Mr. Hussein Ali, Editor-in-Chief of Ahwaz News Agency.
The conference addressed issues concerning Arab migrants in Northern Europe, such as integration, racism, and the role of Arab civil institutions in educating migrants about European laws and regulations, as well as handling family and asylum issues.
In his remarks, Mr. Ali Al-Sari emphasized the importance of cooperation between Arab civil institutions to raise awareness among Arab individuals and families about European laws related to integration, with a focus on women’s and children’s issues.
Mr. Saad Al-Kaabi, for his part, spoke about the human rights role of the Arab Organization in protecting Ahwazi activists, highlighting the legal challenges they face in some European countries due to their political activities against the Iranian regime.
Meanwhile, Mr. Alaa Shalabi, President of the Arab Organization for Human Rights, confirmed that he is closely monitoring the case of the Ahwazi detainees in Denmark, clarifying that the organization will intervene after the final ruling and will pursue legal actions in international courts to challenge the issued verdicts.
The conference concluded by emphasizing the need to strengthen cooperation between various institutions in Europe and urged participants to join the organization and activate files concerning Arab citizens in Europe.
