Human rights sources have reported the deterioration of the health condition of Ahwazi prisoner Ahmad Hamid Sagouri, 25 years old, who is detained in Sheiban Prison in the occupied city of Ahwaz. He is suffering from harsh living conditions and deliberate medical negligence by the prison administration.
The Revolutionary Court had sentenced Sagouri to five years in prison. He is a resident of the Thawra neighborhood in Ahwaz and has so far served one year of his sentence under deteriorating conditions, without receiving the necessary medical care.
Reports confirm that the Sheiban Prison administration systematically practices medical neglect against prisoners, which has worsened his health condition. There are growing concerns about the risk of severe complications if these repressive measures continue.
Human rights organizations are calling for urgent intervention to save the life of prisoner Ahmad Hamid Sagouri, provide him with the necessary treatment, and improve the conditions of Ahwazi prisoners in the occupation’s prisons, where they endure dire circumstances in the absence of international oversight.
