
Despite warnings about the deteriorating living conditions in Iran, media reports indicate that retirees’ salaries will increase by only 20% under the new Iranian budget law for the fiscal year that began on March 20. According to their years of service, the total amount they will receive will reach 11.7 million tomans.
In a report published on Monday, March 24, the ILNA news agency stated that the pensions of retirees, pensioners, and subscribers to the national and military retirement funds, as well as other retirement funds affiliated with executive institutions, will see a 20% increase this year.
According to the report, the minimum pension for retirees and pensioners covered by the National Pension Fund, the Social Security Organization, the Armed Forces, and other funds affiliated with executive institutions will be determined based on years of service, reaching 11.7 million tomans.
