EU Foreign Policy Chief Warns Iran’s Actions Risk Escalating Regional Chaos

Kaja Kallas said Iran’s current policies are contributing to instability across the region. According to Kallas, Tehran’s attacks against neighboring countries risk fueling wider conflict and increasing tensions in the Middle East.
She noted that while many hope for a future in which Iran becomes a democratic state that no longer threatens its neighbors, the country’s political direction remains uncertain. Kallas added that it is still unclear how the situation in Iran will develop in the coming period.
