The Iran Human Rights Society has revealed the existence of a secret prison in Shahin Shahr, Isfahan, operating under the guise of an industrial facility. According to the group, the site is officially labeled as a “prison employment center” but is, in reality, a warehouse where hundreds of inmates are held in dire and inhuman conditions under the supervision of a Revolutionary Guards–linked cooperative.
Reports indicate that the warehouse, surrounded by barbed wire and lacking even the most basic standards of an official prison, is being used to detain prisoners away from public oversight. Recent photographs shared by the rights group show the compound but do not disclose exact coordinates due to security concerns.
Despite its title, the facility provides no rehabilitation or vocational training. Instead, approximately 100 prisoners are reportedly transported out of the warehouse each day at dawn and forced into hard labor, in conditions likened to modern slavery.
