Ahwazi municipal workers in Frushah staged a protest in front of the city’s municipality building, expressing their growing anguish over the continued and deliberate delay of their salaries.
Holding an empty table as a symbol of their hunger and the hunger of their children, the workers conveyed a powerful message: their livelihoods are being crushed under Iran’s oppressive and discriminatory policies.
The empty table has become a painful emblem of both economic hardship and the systemic disregard for Ahwazi laborers living under Iranian occupation.
