Trump Calls on Iranians to Continue Protests, Suspends Meetings with Iranian Officials

U.S. President Donald J. Trump issued a strong statement in which he urged what he described as “Iranian patriots” to continue protesting and take control of their institutions, amid ongoing unrest in Iran.

In his message, Trump called for documenting the names of those he accused of killing and abusing protesters, warning that they would “pay a big price.” He also announced the cancellation of all meetings with Iranian officials, saying this decision would remain in place until what he described as the “senseless killing of protesters” comes to an end.

Trump concluded his statement by saying that “help is on its way,” ending with his well-known slogan, “MIGA”
